Students Who Fail Exit Exam to Receive Special Diploma

The Ethiopian Higher Education Institutions Students Union has revealed to Tikvahe Ethiopia that it has been holding continuous discussions with the Ministry of Education.

Following these discussions, it has been decided that a special diploma certificate will soon be issued to candidates who have failed the exit exam since its introduction in July 2023.

The union also announced that students will have the opportunity to retake the exit exam at any time while working.

Candidates who pass the exam will receive a degree instead of the special diploma.

The union further stated that discussions are ongoing with the Ministry of Education and the Civil Service to establish a salary scale for the special diploma.
