The Interim Administration President of the Tigray Region, Mr. Getachew Reda, has issued a temporary suspension letter to three senior military commanders.
The high-ranking officials suspended are:
Major General Yohannes W/Giorgis
Major General Masho Beyene
Brigadier General Mignbe Haile
In his letter dated today, March 10, 2025 (Ethiopian calendar), President Getachew Reda stated:
"Since dangerous activities that push our people, especially the youth, into chaos, and our security forces into internal conflict, and our people into an irreversible crisis, have not ceased, I hereby inform you that, starting from March 10, 2025, you are temporarily suspended from your command duties until further notice."
Despite numerous efforts to resolve the disagreements among the leadership in the Tigray Region, no solution has been found, and the situation has continued to escalate, causing concern among residents.
