Ministry of Health Prepares for March 2024 Competency Assessment Exam for Health Professionals

"We are preparing to administer the Competency Assessment Exam in March 2024," stated the Ministry of Health.

The Ministry of Health announced that it is preparing to administer the Competency Assessment Exam in March, 2025 for health professionals who have graduated with first degrees from higher education institutions in the following fields:

- Medicine

- Nursing

- Public Health

- Anesthesia

- Pharmacy

- Medical Laboratory Science

- Midwifery

- Dental Medicine

- Medical Radiology Technology

- Environmental Health

- Psychiatric Nursing

- Pediatric & Child Health Nursing

- Emergency & Critical Care Nursing

- Surgical Nursing

- Physiotherapy

- Optometry

- Human Nutrition

These professionals have passed their exit exams and are registered with the Ministry of Health, awaiting the Competency Assessment Exam.

The registration for this exam will take place from March 03 to March 16, 2024.

Candidates from both government and private institutions are advised to register online at http://hple.moh.gov.et/hple.

The Ministry of Health has clarified that no registration requests will be accepted after the specified deadline.

Candidates are required to register within the mentioned dates, print out their exam identification number (Registration No) from the system, and bring it with them to their chosen exam center on the day of the exam.

Important Notices:

1. Each exam center has a maximum capacity limit per field of study. Candidates are encouraged to complete their registration early to secure a spot. Once the maximum number of candidates is reached at a specific exam center, no additional registrations will be accepted.

2. Any candidate who arrives at the exam center without a printed copy of their exam identification number (Registration No) will not be allowed to take the exam.

3. Candidates who passed the exit exam administered by the Ministry of Education on February 07, 2025, and are prepared to sit for this Competency Assessment Exam but have not yet received their temporary degree from their institutions, are required to obtain a collaboration letter from the relevant department of the Ministry of Education. This matter has been emphasized as a prerequisite for participation.
