Addis Ababa Launches FAYDA Digital ID Registration for Students

Addis Ababa has initiated the FAYDA digital ID registration for students, targeting children aged five and above. The campaign, a collaboration between the city's Education Bureau and the National ID Project, is a prerequisite for school enrollment.

"Student FAYDA ID Registration Begins in the Capital"

The registration process for students to obtain the FAYDA digital ID has officially begun in Addis Ababa today.

The launch event was attended by Deputy Mayor of Addis Ababa, Wedimu Seta (Eng.), Yodahe Arayaselassie, Director General of the National ID Project, and Zelalem Mulatu (Dr.), Head of the Addis Ababa Education Bureau.

It was announced that the student digital ID registration campaign will be carried out in collaboration with the Addis Ababa Education Bureau.

According to the plan, children aged five and above are eligible to register for the FAYDA ID.

The Addis Ababa Education Bureau stated that birth and FAYDA registration are prerequisites for the 2018 Ethiopian calendar student school registration. This information was provided by the Civil Registration and Vital Statistics Agency.
