Electricity service has been cut off in several areas, including Lalibela and Alamata, following the theft of equipment on a 66 kV transmission line. The affected areas include Shimshela, Bilbala, Lalkiw, Addis Amba, Gelesot, G/Mariam, and Neakuto Leab satellite stations from the Lalibela service center; Birko, Kidus Harbe, Ayna Michael, and Darya satellite stations from the Ayna service center; and Kulkulmesk, Wondach, Denssa, and Terewez satellite stations from the Muja service center.

The Ethiopian Electric Utility has announced that the issue on the transmission line is being resolved through the Woldia region. Residents in the affected areas are urged to remain patient until the service is restored. This information was reported by Bisrat Radio and Television.
