Ethiopia's Lucy Gear Up for 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers

The Ethiopian Women's National Team, the Lucy Ladies, are intensifying their training for the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The Lucys Continue to Intensify Their Training!

The Ethiopian Women's National Team, the "Lucys," are intensifying their preparations for the 2026 Morocco Women's Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

All members of the national team currently in training are reported to be in good health.

Foreign-based players, including Loza Abera and Aregash Kalsa, who have been called up to the national team, are expected to join the squad in the coming days.

The national team will play a friendly match against the Djibouti Women's National Team tomorrow as part of their preparations.

The Lucys are set to face the Uganda Women's National Team in the first round of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Under the leadership of Coach Yosef Gebre Wolde, the Lucys will play their first match away on February 14, 2017 (Ethiopian Calendar), at 10:00 AM at the Nakivubo Hamz Stadium in Uganda.

If the Lucys advance past the first round of qualifiers, they will face the winner of the match between Tanzania and Equatorial Guinea in the second round."
